Glass high partitions are becoming increasingly popular, so how are glass partitions generally installed? What should we pay attention to during the acceptance inspection?

Installation steps for glass partitions:

1、 Bullet line drilling:

According to the floor design elevation horizontal line, measure along the wall height to the ceiling design elevation, mark the vertical elevation line of the glass partition and the horizontal line of the sky and earth keel along the wall, and mark the grading position line of the keel on the horizontal line of the sky and earth keel. Then drill holes and install screws.

2、 Installation of keel:

1. Ground bone installation: Fix the upper and lower grooves according to the design requirements. If there are no design requirements, it can be fixed with 8mm to 12mm expansion bolts or 3-5 inch nails. The distance between the fixing points of the expansion bolts is 600-800mm. Before installing the glass partition, anti-corrosion treatment should be carried out.

2. Installation of side grooves: Glass partitions should be fixed with side grooves according to design requirements. The side grooves should be plastered and sealed. If there are no design requirements, they can be fixed to pre embedded wooden bricks with Ø 8 ～ Ø 12 expansion bolts or 3-5 inch nails, with a spacing of 800 ～ 1000mm between fixing points. Anti corrosion treatment should be carried out before installing glass partitions.

3、 Installing glass:

Install in the groove according to the design requirements and glass specifications; When installing with a pressure strip, first fix the pressure strip on one side of the glass, and place a rubber pad under the glass, then use the pressure strip to fix the glass; If glass is directly fixed with glass glue, the glass should be installed in the reserved groove of the small keel first, and then sealed and fixed with glass glue.

4、 Applying glass adhesive: First, stick paper tape around the glass and evenly apply various glass adhesives between the glass and the groove according to the design requirements. After the glass adhesive is completely dry, tear off the paper tape.

5、 Installation of pressure strip:

According to the design requirements, glass partitions are made of various specifications and materials, and the pressure strips are fixed to the small keel with straight nails or glass glue. If there are no design requirements for glass partitions, 10 × 12mm wooden pressure strips, 10 × 10mm aluminum pressure strips, or 10 × 20mm stainless steel pressure strips can be selected as needed.
